Het is een welvarende gemeente met veel goede tot zeer luxueuze hotels, mooie huizen, legio golfbanen, tennisbanen en parken.

Het prima klimaat nodigt uit tot veel buitenactiviteiten.

Scottsdale wordt ook wel het 'Beverly Hills' van Phoenix genoemd.
